Good day My name is Catharine from Zimbabwe , a highly skilled, devoted and passionate care giver who was trained so well with Chilton and graduated with a certificate in Elderly Care including advanced First Aid and CPR. I did my comprehensive practicals at TULBACH Care Facility in Strand and had further opportunity to gain so much experience while nursing frail patients who had various illnesses which included dementia, cancer patients, patients with severe Parkinson illness, bedbound stroked patients, post operated patients who needed special care and those who had physical disabilities etc I worked a full time position at the Care facility and performed various duties all throughout the day which included, sanitizing and cleaning surface areas, changing bedding, changing nappies, bedpan and assisting some patients to shower, performing bed bath on bedridden patients , helping with feeding and cleaning after, monitoring patients when they take their medication according to Sr instructions, checking vitals like Bp, pulse and temperature, including recording all readings, helping with exercises etc. For reference, please do contact the matron on 0676500506 and she will tell so much about my professional conduct. I was employed with a private patient in Somerset West as carer for their frail mom who was 75 in 2019 when covid started. I worked a full time position and conducted various duties within the home which included cleaning the entire house, assisting with bathing and making her healthy meals, ensuring she eats well. checking vitals now and then, help with errands and doctor appointments, making sure she takes her prescribed medication on time etc. The family now considering putting her in a home care and i have attached her daughter's reference letter within the advert. Before engaging with the above family as a care giver, I also worked for another family in Durbanville as carer for their 78 year old mother who was frail and wheelchair bound. I performed various duties for her since she was fully dependent on me.
