Good dayMy name is Sheila/Tokozile, a well trained and highly experienced care giver who was trained at ROBIN TRUST COLLEGE here in Cape Town in 2001 and graduated with a home based care Certificate included advanced First Aid and CPR.
I have been working at Riverside Old Age Home in Diep river as a Carer. from 2020 to 2025 .I worked a fulltime position and nursed patients who had various chronic illnesses which included dementia and Alzheimer patients, patients with Parkinson diseases, stroked patients, frail and bedridden patients, patients in various cancer stages and post operated patients who needed special care.
I worked a full time position including shift hours and conducted various duties which included the following:
Bed changing each morning and cleaning the residence
Performing full wash on patients including grooming, skin care and make up
Changing nappies, use of bedpan and assisting other patients to the bathroom for shower
Feeding patients and cleaning after them
Checking vitals on patients daily and properly recording the information
Assisting nurses to monitor intake of medication by patients
Pressure care management and dressing any wounds on patients
Maintaining moral with the resident ward and assisting patients with exercises and taking others for walks in the sun.

Before working at Riverside Old Age Home , I was employed for 16 years at The Brown and Lawrence Home Based Care as a care giver. I provided crucial home care to patients with various ailments which included very frail bedridden patients, quadriplegic patients , those with lupus and severe depression, post operated patients and dementia patients. My name is Ruvimbo, a very humble skilled and passionate Carer from Zimbabwe currently seeking a fulltime position as carer for a private patient either everyday, live in or shift position around Cape Town or other areas.
I was trained at at Red Cross Center back in Zimbabwe between 2012 to 2013 and graduated with a certificate in Community Home Based Care, Nurse Aid and Advanced First Aid Certificate.
I went on to do voluntary attachment at later employment at a public hospital for 7 years, and was so much involved with various patients of all ages who needed personalized care. I conducted various duties around the facilities which included:
Cleaning and sanitizing rooms
Changing of bedding and conducting full bed wash on frail patients, who included post operated, dementia patients, frail patients with severe hypertension and sugar, cancer patients and physically injured patients.
I checked vitals on patients, feeding them and assisting with bathroom needs, changing nappies and all grooming needs. I assisted with giving medication working with resident Sr, dressing wounds and helping with daily exercises etc.
I then came to Pretoria were I was attached to a private patient as a live in Carer for their frail grandparent who had dementia and other chronic illnesses, I performed various activities while working a fulltime position and these included, dressing wounds, checking vitals, assisting with bathrooms needs, performing full bed bath, skin care, month care and grooming needs. I prepared heathy meals including feeding and giving him medication on time as per Doctors strict instruction. I then came to Cape Town to join my siblings and been working in Parklands since November 2024 to November 2025 as care giver for another private patient. I was working a full time live in position and took excellent care of their frail grandmother who needed special care . I nursed her and performed various duties from performing full wash , helping with continence needs, making meals and feeding her, checking her vitals, giving her medication on time, pressure care management to handle bed sores, helping with daily exercises and taking her for some air including doctor appointments etc
