Selaelo’s Story
Selaelo is a teenager who has been diagnosed with ADHD. He had
a big problem with concentration and remembering things. He also tends
to be very quiet, hardly making conversation.
When Paulina, Selaelo’s mother, first spoke about her son, she
mentioned that she had such a hard time to tell him to do things. “You
can tell him to do something now, and he will turn around and forget
about it”. It also concerned her that he was so quiet and kept to
himself, never making conversation.
We started treatment with the light helm and neck pad twice a week
and have done in total 14 treatments, with a break between treatment 8
and 9, for the school holidays.
By the third week, Paulina started to tell me that she can notice a
couple of changes in Selaelo. This included paying attention, doing
things she tells him to do, and having more of a conversation
occasionally.
By the end of the treatment course, Paulina could give Selaelo a list
of four things to do. He will do three and then remember the fourth
item by himself later. He can hold a conversation about topics like
music that interest him, his sleep improved greatly, and he concentrates
