vacancy for a qualified, SACSSP registered Child and Youth Care Worker.
Minimum qualification required grade 12 and NQF level 4 in
in child and youth care.
Current SACSSP registration as a child and youth care
worker at auxiliary level.
Prior experience working with children and youth in a
residential setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles, and
behavioural management techniques.

Position Title: Childcare Programme Supervisor
Marsh Memorial Homes a residential childcare
center in Rondebosch, Cape Town has been seeking to Nurture vulnerable children
and transforming lives since 1903.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Programme
Supervisor to ensure excellence in the holistic development of children placed
in the care of our Homes. The successful candidate will promote the welfare of
children through the implementation of comprehensive daily life, developmental,
and recreational programmes. Key responsibilities include ensuring programmes
meet children's needs, surpass minimum standards, fostering a motivated and
trained Childcare team, and recruiting and managing volunteers for beneficial
programmes.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Child & Youth Care
Current SACSSP (South African Council for Social
Service Professions) Registration at a professional level.
Valid Unendorsed B or EB (code 8) driver’s license
with PDP.
Minimum Experience Required:
At least 5 years post-qualification experience
(experience within a residential child/youth care facility preferred).
Minimum of 3 years’ management experience
(preferably in supervising Childcare workers).
Experience in staff development and training.
Behavioural Attributes:
High-energy individual with attention to detail,
reliability, and ability to work independently and motivate a team.
Proactive problem solver.
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams.
Effective planning and organising skills.
Personal circumstances must allow the employee
to be on call and assist with matters after normal working hours and on
weekends.
Technical Skills:
Computer Literacy – MS Office Suite (MS Outlook,
MS PowerPoint, MS Excel).
Strong verbal and written skills in English.
Report writing, including statistical reporting.
