Work Skills Training Instructor: Retreat WorkshopCape Mental Health is a non-profit organisation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Western Cape. One of its projects working with adults with Intellectual Disability, Training Workshops Unlimited, seeks to employ a Work Skills Training Instructor that would be based at the TWU Retreat workshop.RESPONSIBILITIES A Workskills Instructor is responsible for imparting skills and knowledge to a group of adults with intellectual disability (who are medium in functioning) in a structured environment through the practical repetition of activities and lessons. The Instructor also imparts OLM practices and principles to our Trainees to enhance their skills Must have the ability to work with customer products in satisfying costs, quality and schedule requirements Conduct trainee assessments twice a year Regular communication with parents regarding progress of trainees Positive behavior management Maintain quality standards and perform regular inventory stock controlREQUIREMENTS1. Previous experience in a similar environment.2. Ability to work within a team environment3. Passion and patience in working with adults with intellectual disability4. Ability to apply problem solving methodology5. Excellent interpersonal skills6. Be very proactive with good communication skills7. Honesty & Integrity8. Accommodating and supportive9. Matric, with being fluent in English and one other SA language10. Able to use technology such as InShot to support our Hybrid training mode11. Drivers license REQUIRED12.
