Responsibilities:

We are seeking a semi-skilled and detail-oriented
Automotive Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles, ensuring safety
and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of
automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering
high-quality service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Diagnostic and Repair Work
Perform diagnostics to
identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.Repair or replace defective
parts, including engines overhauls, transmissions (clutch kits replacement),
brakes, steering systems, suspensions services and other components to
light and heavy-duty vehicles.Test drive vehicles to
verify repairs and ensure proper functioning.
2. Maintenance Services
Conduct routine
maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and
fluid top-ups.Inspect and replace
worn-out parts such as belts, hoses, and filters.Perform scheduled services
in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
3. Use of Tools and Equipment
Operate diagnostic tools
and equipment to troubleshoot issues.Utilize hand tools, power
tools, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently.
4. Customer Service
Communicate effectively
with customers to explain diagnoses, recommended repairs, and estimated
costs.Provide accurate timelines
for job completion and updates on repair progress.
5. Record Keeping
Maintain detailed records
of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions.Use digital or manual
systems to track repairs and service history.
6. Compliance and Safety
Adhere to workplace safety
protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).Comply with all automotive
industry regulations and standards.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years of Mechanical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Own tools (or willingness to acquire them with
arrangement)
In addition to technical expertise, we require a candidate
who:
- Demonstrates sober habits and punctuality
- Is available to work every 2nd or 3rd Saturday (overtime
applicable)
Please note the successful candidate will have a 1 week paid
probationary period.
