Company Description
Time Out is a small coffe shop/eatery located in Vryburg, a small farm town with a big heart for commuinty and great service. Time Out is an existing business that had a change of ownership recently. The new owner is also the Head Chef of the kicthen and needs a right hand man so that they can grow the business.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Vryburg for a Commis Chef with some front of house experience. The Commis Chef will be responsible for assisting in food preparation and cooking, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment. The Commis Chef will also need to be able to handle customer orders and be able to assist with beverage services (barista qualifications/knowledge is a plus). The Commis Chef will work in collaboration with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality food and efficient service to customers.
Qualifications
Experience in a professional kitchen environment and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Familiarity with hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen
A culinary diploma or degree from a recognized institution is a plus
