The purpose of the role is to prepare the short-term supply plans across the hubs and depots to maximize customer service while optimizing storage and transport capacity Job Duties Strategic Planning • Execute the degree of forward planning as defined by management. Supply Planning • Assist with the development of the national supply plan across all hubs and depots by using the inbound principals’ supply plans to balance against the network (warehousing and transport) capacity and demand plan requirements for the next 18-24 months. • Understand and use the latest planning standards (agreed volumes, warehouse space constraints and transportation routes) and tools to generate the rough-cut supply plan. • Identify exceptions where supply does not satisfy demand or where supply exceeds demand. • Develop alternate scenarios to address exceptions by closing the gap between supply and demand (e.g., increase capacity through overtime, building stock in advance, pricing changes to manage demand, and inputting into the supply and demand meeting) • Assist with the development of the warehouse space requirements plan for the next 12 months on a rolling weekly basis and manage the accuracy thereof. • Update the demand planning grids with the appropriate supply information (e.g., stock holding, inbound delivery, transport routing) in line with the demand planning timeline • Work closely with the principals’ planning teams to ensure that the anticipated production is sufficient to meet the demand in the longer term. • Assist with the consolidation of the regional warehouse requirements plans into a national warehouse requirements plan. • Compile a forward warehouse requirement plan monthly, on a rolling 12 monthly basis. • Assist with the consolidation of the transport requirements plan and work closely with the Transport Planning team on a quarterly or monthly basis to ensure adequate transport is available. To support the Collections Call Centre by attending to all queries and requests from Debtors and clients:
• Attend to all queries and debtor status changes received through all media
• Action emails from debtors, clients and call centre agents within 48 hours of receipt
• Support the Collections Call Centre Agents so that they can achieve client targets
• Contact any third parties acting on behalf of the debtor in a status change to obtain the required documents for submission to client
• Investigating, rectifying, and reporting on payments and disputes
• Record the details of each interaction with the debtor on the collections system
• Use the prescribed codes when recording interactions as determined
• Obtain and record full details of the nature of any query that the debtor may have on the account and request any required documentation from the debtor
• Verify that all information captured on collections system is accurate and error free
• Ensure that all documentation is attached to the collections system as it is received
• Report any suspicious actions, activities or transactions whether by clients or colleagues
• Attending to ad hoc administration requests

* At least 2 years cost and management accounting experience, including commercial reporting and costing
* 3 Year Degree in Accounting (at least a Btech in Management Accounting)
* Preferably a B.Com or equivalent and studying towards CIMA/CA
* Sound financial and numerical acumen with commercial accounting experience
* Advanced MS Excel and working experience on SAP and TM1
* Experience using Power BI will be an advantage
* At least 2 years cost and management accounting experience, including commercial reporting
