The Excavator Grab Operator`s primary purpose is to provide support as dictated by operational requirements in the form of moving scrap metal material in and around the yard. The following tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Carry out daily inspections of the Grab machine and report any faults.Do general maintenance and cleaning of the grab machine.Move and place steel, bags, bins and other steel products where instructed.Load and off-load steel materials on and off trucks or containers.Ensure safe loading and offloading of customer vehicles as per operational demand.Ensure minimal transaction time used per customer whilst providing an efficient service at all times.Accurately sorting and grading materials for the loading of the dispatch truck at all times.Complete check lists and log sheets.Maintain safe working procedures at all times.Abide by the regulations as set out in the O.H.S.A and company policies.

* Plan and drive social responsibility initiatives and ensure annual payments, affidavits and tax certificates.

* Perform the on-boarding and off-boarding of employees/contractors on the designated systems and platforms (Payspace, MS Teams, MS Office, WhatsApp groups, Harvest, etc.).
* Ensure accurate company project as well as employee/contractor information on the designated systems and correct information where it is incorrect or incomplete (Harvest and Payspace).
* Ensure employees and contractors submit their weekly and monthly timesheets timeously and accurately on the required systems (Harvest and Payspace).
* Ensure the allocation of resources to projects are reflected accurately on the designated systems (Harvest and Payspace).
* Perform all administration and coordination relevant to internal as well as external training initiatives, i.e. attendee communication, attendance registers, capturing training in the HR information system, training feedback forms, contracts, etc.
* Provide support to the HR manager with any other HR related administration.
*Finance*
* Ensure updated insurance policies and assist with administering other policies as requested.
* Keep an up-to-date asset register and track asset utilisation.
* Xero GL account creation.
* Follow-up on invoices & support with vendor creation.
* Assist Account Executives with invoicing at month end.
* Provide support to the Finance manager with any other Finance related administration.
*Compliance*
* Complete and submit the Employment Equity (EE) plan.
* Complete and submit the annual SETA submissions - ATR and WSP.
* Manage B-BBEE certification process.
* Manage the SAP partnership license and renewals.
* Manage Microsoft license and renewals.
* Ensure POPI compliance across processes and practices within the company.
