The Matstone is quite simply an awesome addition to any kitchen and the best in its class of single-auger, masticating juicers. This robust juice extractor produces high-quality, enzyme-rich juice from most fruits, vegetables, grasses, leaves and sprouts. It also has food processor (homogenising) functions that can make pasta and noodles, pestos, baby food, soups, nut butters and can even mince meat, herbs and vegetables.
The New 2007 model Matstone has an improved auger and juicing screen design that extracts 5-10% more juice than previous models and an upgraded mincing cone, pusher and new fitting drum guide.
The Matstone is renowned for its great build quality and its stylish design. Its 160 watt motor provides 1.5 horsepower of squeezing force at the tip to ensure an excellent yield of juice, whilst the slow speed mill-type auger, rotating at 80 RPM, effectively cold presses the fruits or vegetables. This preserves the live enzymes and nutritional value of the juice, allows it to be stored for up to 48 hours in the fridge. A built-in thermal cut out device prevents the motor from over heating and the reverse function allows the machine to be unblocked whenever clogging occurs.
The Matstone takes no time at all to assemble and is very easy to use and clean - two good reasons it has been the most popular juice extractor in its class since its introduction and it's used in juice bars everywhere for the difficult task of extracting nutritious nectar from wheatgrass and leafy greens.
