*Purpose of the role:*
This position is for an all rounder (Financial and Management accountant with abilities of treasurer, HR and Payroll oversight) who would like to proof himself / herself and grow from this position into the next level.
*Financial Management *
* Perform monthly bank reconciliation of current and savings accounts.
* Reconcile credit cards and ensure all supporting documents are filed
* Prepare management reports, review actual expenditure against budget.
* Prepare bi-weekly debtors recovery report.
* Perform General Ledger Account Reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
* Complete quarterly statistical report.
* Perform reconciliations for VAT201 purposes
* Full Debtors and Creditors function
* Responsibility for petty cash.
* Review reports from Payroll consultants before payslips are issued and payment of net pay.
*Financial Compliance and Operational Auditing*
* Ensure Compliance with Policies and Procedures.
* Liaise with all parties related to compliance, auditing and or financial management.
*Capital expenditure *
* Facilitate the internal process for all capital expenditure.
* Ensure effective and accurate record keeping at all times.
* Update and maintain the asset register.
* BCOM Accounting or similar qualification
* Completed articles will be an added advantage
* At least 3 years experience in a similar role
* Experience in the broadcasting industry would be a benefit
*Comptencies:*
* Must possess strong numeric and analytical ability
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Dealing with management as well as colleagues
* Must be a self-motivator with a positive proactive attitude
* Attention to detail

* BCOM Accounting or similar qualification
* Completed articles will be an added advantage
* At least 3 years experience in a similar role

ITR Africa is looking for suitably qualified and experienced Finance Professional to join our dynamic team and, working closely with the Group Financial Manager, manage the overall Financial strategy and activities for the group.
Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, the Assistant Financial Manager would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
* Reviewing accounts (General Ledger, Journals, cash book and recons, etc)
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidations
* Preparation of monthly reporting packs to board and shareholders
* Assisting with year-end and half-year accounts/audits
* Preparing budgets, forecasts, and projections
* Procedures and controls applicable to accounts payable & receivable
* Completion and submission of statutory returns by the due date (VAT & PAYE & other returns)
* Control of fixed assets, operating equipment, and all inventories
* Control of banking, cashbook, and petty cash
* Management and development of finance staff
* Tertiary qualification in accounts or related field
* 2 to 3 years post article experience in a finance and reporting role/function
* Management or supervisory experience is essential
* Strong business acumen and operational inclination
* Technically up to date with IFRS and sound working knowledge of taxation
* Skilled communicator – both verbal and written at all levels
* Ability to carry out various ad hoc duties as required from time to time and work independently
* Able to work proficiently in Microsoft Excel and Word
* Comfortable with consolidations and accounting systems and processes

* Tertiary qualification in accounts or related field
