The U.S. Mission in Pretoria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for a position of Audio Visual Technician in the Information Programs Center (IPC).
Incumbent will be Pretoria’s Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician for all non-Public Affairs Section (PAS) events and capabilities. Ensures Pretoria has all required modern A/V systems and capabilities, including fixed and mobile systems with up to date equipment. Trains end-user and technical personnel in these systems and assists constituent posts in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, as needed, with similar A/V related tasks. Incumbent will also provide support to other posts in the region by request with Information Management Officer (IMO) approval. Audio Visual services are to be provided, including Digital Video Conferences, In-house television signal distribution to the Embassy, Internet video teleconferencing capabilities, Sound and Audio/Visual management for events outside of the Embassy and conducts training sessions to keep IRM staff (and PAS staff where applicable) at all four posts up to date.
