Role
Overview
This internship offers hands-on exposure to engineering consulting,
technical analysis, and real client projects.
You will work directly under a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) in risk
assessment, HAZOP, safety studies and engineering calculations.
Key
Responsibilities
Assist
with HAZOP preparations, node breakdowns, guideword analysis and
report developmentSupport
QRA studies, including data collection, frequency analysis, event
trees and consequence modellingDraft technical
reports, checklists, registers and safety documentationAssist
in preparing source term tables, hazard identification worksheets,
emergency response plans, and safety proceduresConduct
research on SANS standards, international codes (API, CCPS, ISO, PD
8010, UK HSE)Support
site assessments, inspections and data capture for risk studiesAssist
with administrative engineering tasks, document control, file
structuring and QA checksDevelop
and maintain Excel models, charts, dashboards, and calculationsAttend
client meetings, training workshops, and internal engineering reviewsContribute
to internal systems improvement (templates, SOPs, checklists)
Minimum
Requirements
Studying
toward or recently completed a BSc/BEng/BTech in Chemical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial EngineeringStrong
attention to detail and ability to follow structured methodologyHigh
proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointGood
communication skills (written and verbal)Ability
to analyse technical information logicallyIndependent,
driven, and willing to learn new concepts quickly What
