* Scheduling drivers’ daily deliveries / collections, coordinating routes, liaising with drivers on the road, monitor and track drivers via tracking system.
* Effectively coordinating deliveries.
* Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met and all relevant paperwork completed correctly and processed accordingly.
* Ensuring that all driver files are up to date and valid (incl. license validation, PDP, Forklift etc.).
* Ensuring all vehicle licences are renewed prior to expiry.
* Ensuring vehicle services are booked in advance to ensure availability of a vehicle when required.
* Ensuring tyres are roadworthy, getting quotes for replacements etc
* Managing the company process following accidents and incidents including the completion of relevant systems.
* Attend to and assist with possible breakdowns of vehicles on the road.
* Keeping track of fuel expenses vs consumption to ensure cost effectiveness.
* Staff management and coordination in the warehouse area.
* Ensure enough staff are available when large deliveries are received.
* Prior logistical or planning experienced needed.
* Effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
* Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Good organization and time management skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes.
* Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions.
* Good administration skills
