Leica camera m3 instruction manual only . Available to purchase for immediate download. Below is an extract from the manual converted to text for a quick impression on the content. Leica camera m3 instruction manual onlyTHE LEICA FOCUSING STAGEyields close-ups nearer than 3; feet. Any reduction frorr 1:17 to IQ is madepossible. Within this whole range the new large helical focusing mount for theLeica ELMAR f/35 50 mm. makes extension tubes unnecessary. A focusingmagnifier helps to focus the image on a ground glass screen.Additional 26 mm. extension tubes further extend this range to same size re-productions and magnifications up to 2:1.With long focus lenses normal pictures at infinity are also sossible (see page 4).ITS MANY APPLICATION S INCLUDE:Capying, commercial photography. botanical and zoological records;Detailed studies of architectural and art subiects;Medical work including forensic photography, surgery, pathology and anatomy.histology and psychiatry. research into cell life, dental photography;Documentation of criminal evidence;Photomicrography;Collecting illustrative material for teaching, archives, etc.:Photographing coins and stamps;Photomontoge;Duplicating monochrome and colour transparencies;Reducing large negatives (including Xoray films) to Leica size.As there is a short time lag between focusing and exposure. the Focusing Stageis mainly useful for inanimate subiects. For moving subiezts the Optical NearFocusing Device NOOKV (with the ELMAR 35 50 mm. lens) or NOOKYHESUM(with the SUMMAR and SUMMITAR ff? 50 mm. lenses) or the leica MirrorReflex Attachment with Universal Focusing Bellows are more suitable.THE SPECIAL ADVANTAGES OF THE FOCUSING STAGEconsist, besides its light weight, at the easy control the magnified screen imagegives over the field of view, illumination and depth of focus. This is particular-ly important with close-ups.The Focusing Stage consists of two parts. the base plate and the sliding stage. Thebase plate carries a tripod bush and the lens mounting ring, while the slidingstage, with its screen housing and a holder for the Leica, moves in dove-tailguides mounted to the base plate.Manipulation is simple and easy. The subject is focused on the ground glassscreen with the help of the 5x magnifier. The sliding stage with the Leica isthen moved sideways so that the film plane of the camera takes the place ofthe screen. The position of the 24x36 mm. ground glass was identical with thatof the film plane in the camera, so that what was sharp on the ground glassscreen will also be sharp on the film. The negative is exposed in the normalway with the leica shutter.Items Available: 1Stock ID: vintagecameradeals.co.za 3941

The Interchangeable Leica LensesEvery Leica camera is now fitted with a lens-changingflange which makes it possible to interchange lenses of variousfocal lengths without any difficulty, as the camera as well asthe lenses are all standardised. The lenses are simply screwedmoderatel?y tight into the changing-flange. In order to ensureaccuracy or all time we employ a changing screw flange andnot a rapid or bayonet thread. When changing lenses the opencamera should not be exposed to bright light but held with theaperture towards the body until the lens is screwed in.All Leica lenses are high class Leitz anastlgmats and theiroptical data are chosen so as to suit various purposes. Thereis therefore hardly a branch of photography to which the Leicacamera cannot be applied with success.Items Available: 1Stock ID: vintagecameradeals.co.za 4120

Linhof super technika lenses adjustment instructions . Available to purchase for immediate download. Below is an extract from the manual converted to text for a quick impression on the content. Linhof super technika lenses adjustment instructionsAdiustment Instructions For lensesOrdered Subsequently For Super Technika V 4 x 5?The Super Techniko V 4x5? for the first time permits to selfadiust all additio-nally purchased rangeflnder-coupled lenses. Following the instructions below, exact correspondence between rangefinder and ground glass image is obtained.1. Push the prematched coupling cam supplied with each lens fully into thecam mount, until an audible click is noticed. Pull out lens standard, insertlens and slide infinity stops into the rails of the upper track.2 To guarantee exact adiustment, attach the transparent test image withscotch tape to the inside of a vertical window. Position the camera, mount-ed on a suitable tripod, parallel to the test image at a distance of about15 feet (5 m) {picture 1).It is very important to exactly center and level the camera both verticallyand horizontally. To facilitate this operation the use of a Linhof spirit level(ZYW) is recommended. When looking straight through the rangefinderocular, the height adiustment of the camera should be made in such a waythat the small circle of the rangefinder image appears in the center of thereference line A - B (picture 2).Exact alignment of the camera in relation to the test image is essential forthe entire focusing range, it becomes most critical, however, for closedistance focusing below 6 feet.3. To evaluate critical sharpness on the ground glass, 0 good optical magni-fier (Linhof optical magnifier, 8 x, ZYL) must be used. Before beginning thefinal adiustment, the magnifier ocular should be focused critically on thegrain of the ground glass.4. When looking through the rangefinder ocular, aim at the line A-B andturn focusing knob until this line is perfectly focused in the range finder.Lock the extension release to prevent an alteration of the focusing positionnow obtained. Press the spring-tensioned grips slightly and move the lensstandard along the upper track, until the square pattern of the test imageappears completely sharp on the ground glass (use optical magnifier).Cross-check by changing the focusing after releasing the locking lever.Focus the test pattern once more on the ground glass by turning the focus-ing knob. lf lens adiustment was correct, the rangefinder image must nowfully coincide with the reference line A - B.ln case of any deviation, repeat the above procedure, until the requiredadiustment is obtained.5. If adiustment was performed correctly, the rangefinder must now coincidewith the ground glass over the entire focusing range. Finally, push theinfinity stops against the lens standard mount and lock in this position byfastening the set screws.Items Available: 1Stock ID: vintagecameradeals.co.za 4159
