Good day
My name is Bianca, a skilled and well focused and caring Elderly Carer and Nanny and was trained comprehensively at Chilton College in Cape Town and have Childcare plus Special Needs
Certificate for children born with abnormalities e.g. Autism including an Elderly Care
certificate as well and advanced First Aid and CPR.
I then did my practicals and volunteering work at Tulbach Care Facility in Strand where I had the opportunity to provide care to elderly patients who had various conditions and included frail dementia patients, Alzheimer's patients, post operated patients including stroked, patients with Parkinson illness and patients on various cancer stages. I performed various duties during my shift ant the center which included, bed changing and sanitary cleaning of the facility, aiding patients with bedpan, nappy changing , full wash and shower for able patients, feeding patients, checking vitals like blood pressure, sugar and pulse and assisting with exercises and running any errands etc.
I was then employed as Carer for a 79 year old private in Gordon's bay who had terminal stage 4 cancer. I performed
very distinguished duties for her as she was bedridden and helpless- thus
needing specialized attention. I worked a fulltime position, and my everyday
duties involved the following:
Bed changing every morning and cleaning her room, conducting
full wash on the patient, making meals and feeding.
Providing pressure care to avoid bed sores and dressing of any
visible wounds, changing incontinence pads, bedpan and making sure she is clean
at all times.
Checking each morning her vitals like blood pressure,
pulse, temperature and occasionally blood sugar
Giving her medication on time and according to doctor's
instructions
Providing much needed companionship and taking her to doctors'

I also was employed in Helderview for another family as Nanny for from when the child was only 3 months old till she turned 4 years old. I performed various duties for the baby which included, sterilizing bottles and making milk, feeding baby well, managing both sleep and play time, managing all developmental milestones, pot training, introducing baby to solid meals and providing vital bedsitting when parents were not around. I also did laundry for the child and other minor chores within the house. From March 2019 to September 2025, I have been working a full time position as carer for a private patient in Somerset West. I was looking after their Frail aunties who was 85 years old when I started working for the family. She was frail and had severe dementia and needed good care since she was bedbound. I conducted various duties which included, cleaning her room every morning, bed changing and assisting with all bathroom needs, like changing kimbis, making her healthy meals and assisting with feeding, checking her vitals and assisting with regular exercises according to doctors' instructions, assisting with general mobility issues including going for appointments. Giving her medication on time and according to doctor's instructions etc.
