A renowned JSE Listed company is looking for a “Electrician” to join their team on a full-time permanent basis in Gansbaai. Excellent compensation package on offer (subject to qualification and or experience).Position Overview:Our client is urgently seeking a Qualified and experienced Electrician to take on the responsibilities for all electrical maintenance & installations. Position Responsibilities:• Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment.• Installation of electrical boxes, DB Boards, other enclosures, conduits (pipes, tubing, trunking), ground.• leads and connecting of power to different equipment/machinery.• Wiring of circuit breakers, low voltage transformers and electrical equipment.• Performing maintenance and identifying maintenance requirements on electrical equipment.• Perform fault finding.• Ensuring that preventative maintenance is executed according to schedule.• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.• Performing ad-hoc duties.• Commercial and industrial electrical installation and maintenance (three-phase and single-phase).• Must adhere to the relevant electrical codes, procedures & safety policies. Position Requirements:• Industrial Electrical experience critical.• Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent Certification (NQF Level 4).• Trade Tested / Red Seal – both single- and three-phase.• Minimum of 2 years work experience as an installation electrician (3 phase).• No criminal record.• Valid unendorsed driver's license.• Wireman’s license is compulsory.• Certificate of compliance registered/ or complaint. Competencies:• Proficient in both English and Afrikaans.• Computer literate in MS Office.• Full understanding of SANS 10142-1 (Wiring of Premises).• Disciplined• Excellent fault-finding skills.• Good communication skills.• Positive energy and mindset.• On-site team management skills.• Coping with pressures and setbacks.• Able to meet deadlines of high-pressure projects.• Adhering to the company’s principles and values.• This position will require overtime work from time to time.• Traceable, working knowledge and experience in the renewable energy field. (Inverters, Solar, etc.).• Service excellence is key responsibility.• Reading and understanding electrical drawings.• Physically and mentally fit. JOB PURPOSE: · To complete the client delivery value chain by installing the final branding and signage structures at the client’s location according to the client’s specification and Stikka’s standards. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: Loading, Unloading and Material Movement: · Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and/ or equipment needs. · Sort structural components and tools before loading and unloading. · Attach identifying tags to components or mark them with identifying information. · Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported. · Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that product quality and packing specifications are met. · Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use. · Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure that inventory is protected. Installation Operations: · Read specifications or blueprints to determine the location, quantity, sizes of materials required. · Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. · Rig or dismantle props or equipment, such as frames, scaffolding, platforms, or backdrops, using hand tools. · Assemble hoisting equipment or rigging, such as cables, pulleys, or hooks to move heavy equipment or materials. · Hoist structural elements into place using scaffolding or hoisting equipment. · Pull, push, or pry structural elements into positions for bolting into place. · Bolt aligned structural elements in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or sticking into place. · Mop, brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions, or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection. · Dismantle structures or equipment. Information Management: · Maintain time and/ or production records. · Recommend improvements in products, packaging, shipping, service, or billing methods to prevent future problems and improve customer service.Applications to: jewell@stikka.co.za
