JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Planner will take care of the Overall Planning function from bidding phase to the Construction Phase of Projects in Secunda.Set up Planning Software to ensure the Software will function correctly once Progress updates are done throughout the Project.Be able to read and interpret complex Technical Documents and develop schedules from Scope of Work and Works Information documents with minimal input from Supervisors and other stakeholders.Develop Overall Project Programmes in Microsoft Projects / Primavera P6, complying with Standard Planning Practices.Develop Bid Schedules in Microsoft Projects/Primavera P6, complying with Standard Planning Practices.Resource & Cost Load Project Programme.Be able to analyse the Project Programme for any Software anomalies and be able to find work around solutions.Liaise with Contractors to obtain schedules and incorporate the Contractor schedules into the Master document.Manage Contractors planners to ensure timeous reporting from the Contractors on a weekly basis.Chair progress meetings with Contractors and the Employer on projects.Develop, update and maintain the Reporting Documents as per the Contract requirements.Produce Weekly & Monthly Reports as per the Contract Requirements.Develop and maintain Project S-Curves.Develop the EVM Database for the Project as well as update the EVM Report as per Contract requirements.Manage scope changes, delays, disruptions etc and assist the Project Manager in demonstrating the impact to the Programme.Develop Recovery Programmes (when required).Issue Two Week Look Ahead schedules to all disciplines.Report on Critical Path Activities and any changes to the Critical Path to all team members.Communicate Project status to supervisor on Weekly basis.
SPECIAL QUALITIES OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years prior experience in a similar environment (Petrochemical environment)Understand complex Engineering Drawings, BOQ’s and Works Information documents to develop detailed Construction schedules, Shutdown experience.Advance knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Professional (2016 or later version)Be an advanced user in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.Analytical skills to identify & resolve software problems.

Essential: Primavera P6 Advanced CertificationDesirable: Field experience (Trade in a Petrochemical environment on sites)

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the property. Completes preventive maintenance, install new equipment, and assists with routine property maintenance. Completes work order records and files all related maintenance paperwork. Assists area staff as required, responds to the maintenance needs of different departments, and keeps management well informed.
Reporting to the supervisor, the role is based in the Property Estate Management team responsible for Site Services.
Key responsibilities:
Conducting preventive maintenance (inspections, adjustments, and overhauls) on mechanical, electrical equipment including pumps, tanks, piping, air compressors, and building infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
· General plumbing including washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC)
· General carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing, and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware.
· Liaising with contractors and performing jobs as and when they are required.
· Assisting with construction projects of site improvement or repairs.
· Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation to Line Manager
· Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team.
· Contribute towards the efficient running of the team.
· Responsible for related duties as required or assigned.
· Maintaining adequate stock levels including water and diesel.
· Responsible for housekeeping of storeroom general painting & decorating of the site.
· Basic electrical maintenance
· Day to day care and maintenance of gardens, trees, grass, and estate infrastructure.
· Day to day care and maintenance of trees
· Day to day care and maintenance of stormwater trenches and dams.
· Regularly inspecting garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising Line Manager of any need to replace/rebuild.
· General garden carpentry such as assembling and maintaining furniture, replacing handles and similar hardware.
Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
Recording all task related information as required to complete planning and work order requirements.
Candidate requirements:
· Grade 12
· Relevant electrical/trade certification (desirable)
· Construction Maintenance Operations
· Experience in this type of job role
· Requisite knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the environment
· To demonstrate knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to this role
· Skills in general DIY and maintenance and general gardening including assessment, installation, repair, and maintenance.
· Practical knowledge of plants plus experience and using general garden machinery
· To understand and deliver good service.
· Good attention to detail
· A valid driving license.
