East Rand - Our client is an international equipment manufacturer.Job DescriptionReporting to the Production Manager, You will play a leading role in the stripping section of the company and ensure that stripping jobs are prioritized and executed to meet the needs of the customer.Providing instructions to the stripping department on customer requirements and priorities.Disassembling, stripping, cleaning, and storing of ProductsAssisting with stripping functions as part of the team.Providing guidance to the stripping department to ensure that jobs are executed properly and timeously.Reporting any stripping difficulties to the Production Manager.Cleaning stripped components by means of the steam cleaner in the wash bay.Ensuring that all stripped components are inspected and marked off properly.Responsible for the stripping area, shadow board tools housekeeping.Responsible for the teams (Service) working inside the factory, usually in the stripping area, sometimes in the front of bay one.Monitoring all practices to ensure that they comply with SOPs and safety requirements.Ensuring that all parts going to the stock yard are sprayed with a protective coating.Load and offload trucks using the overhead crane.Assisting with offloading of components in the stock yard.Scanning the job out upon completion.Working between various departmentsEnsuring that all tools required to perform stripping functions are in a proper working condition and adhere to safety requirements.Reordering tools when required.QualificationsQualified Fitter (Red Seal)Valid Overhead Crane LicenseSkillsMinimum of 7 years’ Post Trade TestMinimum 5 years’ of Heavy Equipment expertise is required.Basic Microsoft Office would be an advantageSalary / PackageR400K - R650K CTC per annumBenefitsPensionMedical AidOn site GymOn site Clinic
