My client in the bulk handling industry is looking for a Section Supervisor to join their team in Durban (Bluff).Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Monitor the achievement of operating targets and standards and assist management with improvements in work procedures and systems.Monitor safety, health and environmental practices against company standards and ensure that variances are satisfactorily accounted for and dealt with.Will be responsible for supervising one of the Operations Sections i.e.: Road, Stacking and Shipping departments, and will rotate to a new section on a yearly basis.Ability to supervise teams effectively.Ensure correct equipment, materials, and personnel are used to achieve daily operational targets.Know the operation of the relevant machines, especially the use of appropriate brakes for the weight of the load.Know the appropriate machine and/or trailer for a given type of load.REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12National Diploma in Management, Operations or 3 Year Technical related qualificationComputer Literacy (MS Office)5-year supervisory experience
