Smart “Nural” Sensors
Uses a network of sensors to monitor airflow and temperature.
Specifically, it has a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor that measures the distance to your scalp, which allows it to dynamically adjust heat and airflow.
This helps prevent overheating your scalp and is designed to protect scalp health and retain moisture better.
Intelligent Heat Control (“No Heat Damage”)
The dryer maintains optimal temperature by monitoring airflow and avoiding sustained high heat.
There are four heat settings: very hot, hot, warm, and a cold shot to set styles.
There are three speed settings for airflow so you can choose how strong or gentle the air is.
Scalp Protect Mode
When activated, the device uses its sensor to reduce heat when it’s close to your scalp, helping minimize damage or discomfort.
Dyson claims this mode can help improve scalp moisture retention and strengthen the scalp’s barrier.
Attachment Learning
Equipped with a Hall sensor: it recognizes which attachment you've connected and remembers your preferred settings for that attachment.
Over time, it will automatically adjust to your go-to heat and speed settings per attachment, making styling quicker and more personalized.
There’s an accelerometer in the dryer: it detects when you put it down and will automatically deactivate the heater and reduce airflow.
When you pick it back up, it ramps up again to the last-used settings.
Airflow Technology
Uses Dyson’s Air Multiplier™ design to draw in surrounding air, amplify it, and project a strong, controlled airflow.
Powered by a Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor, which is compact but strong and delivers high-speed airflow.
