She’s
in impressive condition for a 50 year old vehicle! – this fine old lady was
bought by me in 2021 and was taken through its COR then, with all the necessary
work undertaken by Steve Marsh Classic Autos (invoices available, of course!) I
also have copies of other work undertaken on the vehicle by the previous owner,
going back to the early 2000s.
Since
my purchase, if she’s done an additional 5 000 km, that would be a lot!
The speedo currently reads 56 811 but I cannot guarantee its validity. The car
starts first time, every time and sports virtually brand new tyres – I’ve taken
her on a number of Jaguar Club outings; 2 x Distinguished Gentleman’s Drives
and a number of Wedding and Matric Dance bookings and have only had the most
favourable of comments from fellow participants and/or my paying clients. Being
Gold in colour – she certainly does turn heads! …
The
infrequency of use due to advancing age (mine, not the cars) and certain health
issues, have led me to the reluctant decision to sell and let someone else get
more use out of her. It’s not documented whether the engine is the original but
the car comes with a spare 4.2 litre engine and auto gearbox and a couple of
boxes of spare parts.
Everything
works on the car including the aircon and electric windows – only thing that
I’ve not been able to fix is the dashboard clock!
Serious
buyers only please, for this prime example of motoring history which, despite
her age, still offers superb Grace – Space – Pace! …

I am selling my extremely rare 1960 Autobianchi Bianchina Special Cabriolet RHD. 1960 was the very first year of manufacture. 1967 the last year. Only 6 RHD were manufactured for promotional purposes. There are only 2 or 3 RHD known to have survived. There were only 1200 LHD built of these sort after Micro cars.I bought the car in Bloemfontein where it was dry stored since 1980. There was no rust on the car, except a bit of rust on the front floor panels under the carpets. Most probably from moisture. I imported 2 new floor panels from Italy.The car was stripped right down to the bare body shell and the new floor panels welded in. The car was red when I got it, but after stripping off the paint , the original Azzurio Chiaro Blue was found.It was resprayed the original colour. New hood material and clear vinyl rear window material was imported. I had a classic car upholsterer redo everything from seats, carpets etc. The car was very complete. The original engine ran beautifully once I started itI have spent 100's of hours cleaning and refurbishing everything. I never quite finished the car , as I moved to my farm in the Langkloof. The car is stored at my nephews garage in Sunningdale Cape.There are a few minor things left to do.About 95% finished.I imported new hubcaps and a few other parts.There are no papers for the car . It will need to go for police clearance and put on the Natis system.Please only serious buyers!! I will look at realistic offers. LHD(1200) restored cars fetch between 25K and 30K GBP in the UK.
