For Sale:
Ford Escort 1600 Sport Project
Please read the advert properly.
I am putting as much information in the advert to avoid unnecessary questions and to prevent us from wasting each other's time.
I am selling the car on behalf of a friend who is working out of the country.
I have the paperwork in my possession and I have access to the car and parts.
1979 model,
Mimosa yellow in colour.
Paperwork in order, licence up to date.
Bodywork:
The bodywork and paintwork were of poor quality and I would recommend that the car be stripped back, and the work needs to be redone. I can send more photos upon request. I have two new imported replacement front floor panels that will go with the car. Areas like the rear arches would also need to be redone.
Drivetrain:
The engine is stripped.
Engine number matches the paperwork.
All the machine work on the engine has been completed.
All the parts have been chemically cleaned,
+0.030" rebore with new 1300 pistons and rings.
Crank has been ground 10/10.
Conrods fitted with new small ends and big ends have been resized.
Cylinder head has been done over.
The original gearbox was completely rebuilt with new bearings and seals from the UK.
Interior:
Carpet has been thrown away as it was rotten.
Seats are still in fairly good condition for their age with a burn mark on the rear seat - photo in included.
Dash plastics including cluster, center console and stalks are all boxed up and in storage,
Dash top needs to be repaired/recovered.
Replacement Fiberglass C Pillar covers included but not in the photos.
Suspension:
The suspension on the car has not been touched yet, that still needs to be done. I will include a polybush kit.
4 X oringal 5.5J Sport wheels with decent tyres, no spare wheel.
Items like the front bib spoiler, grille, brake booster, lights, door glass, front 1/4 bumpers, rear bumper, handles, fuel tank, etc are all available. Spot lights with their brackets are unfortunately missing.
The asking price is R115,000.
Viewing would need to be by appointment. The car is standing in Despatch, the loose parts are in storage in North End, PE. Payment/Deposit secures the car, I cannot hold the car indefinitely for interested parties.
