Small busy Catering Company needs a Hot Kitchen Chef - with knowledge of other sections required.
Six Month Contract –
Hours: 07h30 – 16h00 - 45 hours p/w
Note: Overtime will be required for evening & weekend events
Situated in Kelvin/Marlboro – Sandton
Salary – Experience dependent - R8000.00 + R420.00 transport allowance
Very hands on, able to work without too much supervision. Must be able to read & comprehend recipes well.
Assist with preparation of:
*Casseroles, curries, sauces, roasts and grills etc
*Various starch and hot vegetable dishes
*Able to do offsite buffet set-ups when required
*Preparing or assisting with offsite 3 course plated meals / events
Other Duties:
*Kitchen hygiene
*Time management
*Food prep
What will secure this position?
*Experience in catering industry an big advantage
*Driver’s License
*Good food presentation techniques and ideas
*Recognized Professional Culinary Diploma
*Competent in reading and understanding recipes.
*Ability to work well as a team member, good communication skills
*No transport problems or issues – live nearby
