CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER R55 000 – R40 000 NEG A well established and reputable engineering company based in Paarl in need of a Construction Project Manager for equipment that specializes in creating, developing, and improving agricultural machinery. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 – 5 years’ within the engineering / construction industry. Work will involve assisting the team with the facility design and planning process, including marketing and client visits, but will focus on: Develop project plans Review and appointment of the professional team in consultation with the client team and stakeholders Set up and managing communication and management systems required for the project execution Coordinate inputs from all stakeholders and communication with the appointed professional team. Manage design development Implement measures and design adjustments to ensure budget and timeline constraints are adhered to Facilitate integration and coordination between different disciplines of the professional team and design and supply contracts Change management monitoring and control Manage tender process and appointment of contractors Prepare and manage contracts (JBCC, etc.) Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, procurement requirements, and other legal/statutory requirements (MHI, etc.) Monitor construction progress and quality Arrange and manage site meetings and reporting Manage and coordinate the project handover to the client Ensure completion of final accounts and close out documentation A percentage of the candidate’s time will also be spent on internal project management and coordination. Requirements Matric / Grade 12 B.Eng / B.Tech / National Diploma (Mechanical / Agricultural Engineering / Civil (Structures) / Quantity Surveying Experience in project management software (mainly MS Project) Experience with the tender process Experience in contract administration (mainly JBCC). BIM experience adv Experience with Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC) for digital coordination and collaboration will be an adv Minimum 4 – 5 years’ experience within a similar environment Skills: Excellent Afrikaans & English communication skills Be detailed and organized team player with demonstrated delivery in high pressure situations Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams A proactive and organized approach to work, capable of meeting tight deadlines A team player who can also work independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks Please apply with your most recent resume, supporting documents.
