A tripod bushis also provided to permit the gun tobe set up on a tripod away from thecamera and connected by a flashcable of appropriate length. The flashcable is available with various plugfittings to suit the camera in use.The lamp holder is designed to takehulhs with Edison screw caps as wellas with small bayonet caps-TECHNICAL The unit consists of aDESCRIPTION battery case (1) with acable socket (2) at the side.a foot with tripod bush (3), a removable Edison screwfitting (4) which will talce a small centre contact bayonetsodtet (5) with ejector (6), a reflector bradtet (7), and a re?movable fan reflector (8). A flash cable and test lamp arealso included. The battery case contains a capacitor unit (9) to take acommercial type 22.5 volt anode battery (as used in hearingaids).he capacitor unit guarantees positive firing without delay.Even after long use, its operation is independent of thecondition of the battery. lt will fire the bulb reliably as longas the battery still yields a current. The capacitor chargesup as soon as a flash bulb (or the 6 volt, 0.05 amp. testlamp) is inserted. Thus, to avoid an unnecessary drain onthe battery a bulb should not be left in the gun when notin use.A special model of the gun, recognizable by the letter ?Pengraved on it, permits several bulbs to be synchronizedand fired in parallel. A suitable long flash cable and amultiway adaptor for the battery plug of the cable areavailable.Items Available: 1Stock ID: vintagecameradeals.co.za 4011

If the test lamp lights up, the firing circuit is in order. The important point is that the reflector must remain folded up forthis test, otherwise the discharge would fire the flashbulb- On openingthe reflector the flashgun is then ready for use-To change the battery, pull the battery unit out of the case at the point indicated by the arrowsin Fig. 4.
