(aperture and magnification), comparable models are available from
manufacturers like Celestron or Orion. This item is as good as new and
hardly used. In South Africa, one might anticipate a price range of
approximately R15,000 to R20,000 for such alternatives. Our price is

Typical Inclusions:
These binoculars often came with a durable carrying
case for protection and an “index finder” (a type of non-magnifying sighting
device) to assist in aiming.
Primary Application & Performance:
The Garrett Optical Gemini 25x100
binoculars were highly esteemed for astronomical observation, delivering
impressive views of celestial targets such as stars, star clusters, distant
galaxies, and nebulae. Their design and optical quality made them a popular
choice for enthusiasts serious about exploring these deep-sky wonders.
However, for observing the Moon or
planets, these binoculars were not the optimal choice. Viewers might experience
chromatic aberration (color fringing, especially noticeable on the Moon's
bright limb) and some flaring or glare when aimed at very bright objects like
planets, which could diminish the viewing experience for these specific
targets. While they could still provide reasonable views of the Moon and
planets, these optical artifacts could be distracting.

Theoretically, these binoculars could be
