1960 extremely rare Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet RHD series 1. Only 6 RHD were produced worldwide
This a repost. SERIOUS BUYERS only please.No time waasters, as I have had people saying they will take the car and pay a deposit, which never materialises.I am selling my extremely rare 1960 Autobianchi Bianchina Cabriolet Micro Car. The first year of production was 1960 and the last year 1967.There were only 6 RHD Cabriolets built for promotional services. There are only 2 or 3 RHD known to have survived!There were only 1200 LHD versions built of these sort after Micro cars!!I bought the car in Bloemfontein, where it was dry stored since 1980.There was no rust on the car, except for a bit on the front floor panels, most probably from moisture under the carpets.I imported 2 new floor panels from Italy.The car was stripped down to the bare body shell( see photos), and the new floor panels welded into place.The car was red when I got it (see photo) and once the paint was stripped off we found the original Azzurio Chiara Blue. The car was resprayed this colour. New hood material and clear plastic rear window was imported. I had a well known classic car upholsterer redo everything, including seats, carpets , hood etc.The car was very complete when I got it.The original engine ran beautifully once I started itI have spent 100's of hours refurbishing everything.I never quite finished the car, as I moved to my new farm in the Langkloof a couple of years ago.The car is stored in my nephews garage in Sunningdale , Tableview in the Cape. There are a few minor things left to do on the car. I imported some of the chrome parts that were not good.There are no papers for the car. It will have to go for a police clearance and put on the Natis system.LHD cars fetch upwards of 25k to 30k GBP and there were 1200 built. So this RHD is worth a lot more to a collector.I have priced it at R250 000 as is, for a quick sale. I have many photos of the restoration process.
