HOSE & PARTS IS38 / 9VA04 Performance Upgrade Turbo for Mk7 & 7.5, Golf, GTI and 8V A3The IS38 / 9VA04 turbo is the highest performance, quickest spooling OEM+ turbo upgrade available for the VW Mk7 / Mk7.5 Golf, GTI and Audi 8V A3.Give your VW Mk7 / Mk7.5 Golf, GTI or Audi 8V A3 the performance that the Golf R, Audi S3 and TTS come equipped with from the Audi / VW factory. This is a brand new OEM factory IS38 turbocharger and it is the current revision. This turbocharger is a direct bolt on replacement for your factory IS12 or IS20 turbo, with the only extra modification required is a software upgrade (Tune / Calibration) to match the turbo upgrade.Power NumbersAfter installing this turbo (bolt on, drop in) you can expect to gain +149 FT-LBS of torque and +170 WHP bringing the power numbers up to 397 HP 403 FT-LBS with proper tuning, exhaust system, intercooler and intake.IS38 Performance Turbo UpgradeThe 2 most common turbo’s which are swapped for the IS38 are the IS12 and IS20 turbos. While this is a legitimate concern, the IS38 is not drastically larger and will only result in a few hundred RPM difference for max boost, which is hardly noticeable in a real world application.
