I have two classic historical heritage hearing aids that I would like to sell and I'm open to offers
One is a personal
amplifier, which is essentially a hearing aid but not billed as such. It
would go under the heading of Assistive Listening Devices or ALDs.
Unlike hearing aids, ALDs were available without needing to go through
an audiologist, doctor or hearing aid technician.
The other one is a transistor body hearing aid manufactured by Thomas
Thirsk and sold under the Emitome trade name. The model is "New Era"
manufactured in 1955.
