JOB PROFILE - Report Writer
REPORTING TO
Content Lead
NUMBER OF SUBORDINATES
None
OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION
To support the Fundraising and International Teams with report writing
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
* Designing and giving input into standard reporting templates for the Fundraising Team
* Gathering of information for report writing
* Preparation and completion of donor reports as per the reporting schedule
* Input into the donor report schedule and ensuring that Executives receive donor reports timeously
* Working constantly to improve donor report templates
* Working constantly to improve the quality and content of Afrika Tikkun donor reports
* Ad hoc administrative support as required by the Content Lead
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A tertiary qualification (degree/diploma) preferably in Development Studies, Social Science Administration and Communications or similar field
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* 3 years or more experience in Social Development, Development Studies, Administration and Communications or similar
* Information gathering for report writing
* Report writing
* Accurate data capturing
* Understanding of the NGO/NPO/Development Sector
* Experience in Salesforce is an advantage
* A valid drivers license
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
* Report writing skills
* IT Competencies; Internet, MS Office and other packages also database (CRM) management; (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint - minimum Intermediate Level)
* Organisational skills, an ability to handle various tasks and provide support to team members.
* Research, data gathering and management of donor information
* Ability to interpret financial reports as they relate to project funding
* Ability to take initiative and develop innovative solutions to challenges
* Excellent verbal and written communication ability
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Story-telling and writing skills
