I have four (4) cartons containing thousands of stamps
from all over the world. These stamps have been collected over a period of 60
odd years.
There are a number of stamp albums, very many First
Day Covers, and very many loose stamps taken off envelopes and bought stamps.
Some of the Countries collected: South Africa
(including previous Bantustans), Europe, Far East, Australia, New Zealand,
Britain, Mauritius, USA, Rhodesias, Namibia, etc.
The contents of these cartons will require many hours
of devoted time, fun and joy from an avid and keen collector to sort out what
is there.

*Hardwood* traditional Southern African wooden club or walking stick known as a knobkierie (or iwisa / sagila in Nguni languages). Rescued from the Liesbeek river. Khoikhoi used them: The term "kierie" (or kirri) is derived from the Khoekhoe (Khoikhoi) word for "stick" or "walking stick".
The full name "knobkierie" combines the Afrikaans word for "knob" (knop) with this Khoikhoi word for stick.
