landscape painting of trees by the river at Gatooma. Painted by an internee at the World War II Internment Camp in Gatooma, Southern Rhodesia, between 1941-1942.
5,000 Italians were held in this 3rd wave internment camp. Medium: Watercolour on paper. Condition: Pre owned with yellowing and
age spots/foxing, small tear on bottom RHS painting. Requires restoration. Art size: 240mm W x 370mm H. Frame size: 410mm W x 540mm H x 25mm D - gold and white with brown matt/mount/glass - scuffing and wear on frame. Glass will be removed for shipping unless picked up. Willing to sell without frame.
