About the Role:
We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Debt Review Customer Services Team Leader to join our Customer Care Department. This team acts as a critical internal liaison, facilitating communication and service between various parties to resolve queries efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a self-managed, adaptable multitasker with high emotional intelligence (EQ), capable of navigating complex team dynamics, and leading a team of customer care agents to meet objectives and targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
Team/Agent Focused Tasks:
Monitor adherence to customer care process flow
First escalation point for queries beyond agents' scope
Conduct quality control checks and provide coaching/mentoring
Identify training gaps and create improvement plans
Build a multi-skilled team through up-skilling and cross-training
Manage timekeeping, attendance, and address incidents
Call monitoring and reporting
Implement corrective measures per Company code of conduct
Foster a supportive team culture for morale and retention
Regular one-on-one feedback and lead team meetings
Quarterly performance evaluations
Team Leader Specific Tasks:
Allocate queries and tasks by priority
Monitor team trackers and provide floor support
Resolve escalated queries
Manage payment arrangements
Allocate payment notifications
Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and strategic planning
Build a knowledge base for customer care queries
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
Grade 12/Matric or equivalent
Post-Matric qualification advantageous but not essential
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in debt review is a prerequisite
Intermediate/advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Fluency in English plus another official languages
