WATER PUMP TECHNICIAN / EAST LONDONROLE OVERVIEW - To install, maintain, diagnose faults, repair, and service water pumps and pumping systems as the primary responsibility. You will receive great support while learning how to turn technical drawings into successful commercial quotes.Job DescriptionRead and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings.Extract material lists (BOMs) from engineering designs.Calculate total costs for raw materials, labour, and manufacturing.Prepare precise and professional written quotes for customers.Keep internal pricing spreadsheets and databases up to date.Work closely with the production team to check manufacturing needs.Talk to the purchasing department to check material prices.Keep organized digital files of all your historical quotes.What You Need to ApplyThe ability to read and understand steel fabrication drawings.Experience or training in extracting material lists (BOMs).Strong basic math skills and a sharp eye for accuracy.Good basic skills in Microsoft Excel for calculations.A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.Experience in the steel fabrication or fastener industry is an advantage but not a dealbreaker.This exclusive opportunity is managed by TRP.
