The Insights & Analytics Manager contributes to the organisational goals by using data to extract quantifiable insights from past trends and current conditions that increases profitability and improve efficiency. You would primarily be responsible for building, iterating and leading the team to compile and analyse all the digital metrics within the digital ecosystem (own sites, social, mobile, media, etc.), as well as informing the paid and organic strategy. This person will contribute heavily to the growth of the business’s digital marketing initiatives and will work closely with the BI, Data Science and Marketing Reporting team to develop a marketing data strategy that supports the on-boarding of MarTech, and reporting on the progress.
Preferred experience for the role includes:
* 5+ years of proven business data analysis, insights and marketing analytics related experience
* Extensive experience and a proven track record in the implementation and strategy of SEO
* Extensive experience in leveraging an array of web analytics and reporting platforms including Google Analytics, Kissmetrics, Search Console, Facebook Analytics, Funnel, Google Data Studio, Looker or similar
* Experience in using data to develop digital performance marketing strategies
* Experience working with digital marketing channels (SEO/SEM/Display/Social etc), tag management tools (Google Tag Manager) and data layer implementations.
* Preferably knowledge of more than 1 business functional area
Preferred qualifications for the role includes:
* Degree or qualification in Analytics, Business Management, Statistics, Economics or similar
* Degree requirement might be waived with proven specialised training/certifications at University level and/or with proven skills in previous roles
* Ability to work across and within teams
* Ability to influence and educate wider business stakeholders
* Ability to understand business needs and translate these needs into business intelligence requirements
* Excellent communication skills (both written and orally)
* Taking the initiative (business intelligence is a proactive role, not reactive)

* Ability and willingness to work with fragmented and messy data
* Lead the team to provide high quality web analytics, business-focused insights and automated reporting

* Grow the volume of customers that can be identified and profiled within digital channels and assist to share this data across channels for Omni-channel success

As the Senior Media Strategist, your job is to be the conduit between the client and the agency, identifying client needs and clearly articulating them back to the agency. To do so, you’ll need to research and analyse the intended audience, develop media strategies and use various technologies to determine what type of communication will have the best performances. At the same time, you will need to work hard at getting the best out of your team, while learning as much about the client’s business as possible to ensure you are seen as a valuable partner.
* Build and maintain client relationships
* Foster a good working relationship across the agency and with client points of contact to facilitate flawless execution of plans
* Develop and lead sound, strategic media plans based on client marketing direction and the use of media research
* Synthesize information accurately and efficiently to guide campaign development and execution
* Digest details about client’s products and services and identify and articulate key points to outside parties and intuitively solve problems
* Maintain good rapport with sales representatives and vendors; push vendors to work collaboratively to deliver original solutions to satisfy client needs
* Explore media alternatives and be naturally innovative in recommending media solutions; determine the solution, deliver the recommendation and stand behind it
* Manage and train all team members
* Conduct work and performance reviews, inductions and staff training
* Be revenue conscious and set accurate revenue targets and projections
* Create, maintain and analyse sound strategic media plans based on comprehensive research
* Share campaign results and learnings and present this data timeously
* Understand the media landscape and produce sound strategies and proactive proposals
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to adapt these in order to communicate effectively with those around you
* Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships – internally, with your team and colleagues and externally, with the clients, media owners, partner agencies and the industry at large
