In the cheaper end of the hot hatch market the A250 certainly makes a strong point with its extensive list of features and high levels of quality.

Fitted with a 2-litre 16-valve turbo unit, the A250 is good for a 160 Kilowatts, while its 350Nm of torque is delivered at an impressively low 1 200r/min. Naturally this eliminates virtually all turbo lag and its impressive how well the vehicle pulls from low engine speeds.

Put your foot down and the A250 will immediately surge forward with a fair amount of torque steer as the rubber tries to transfer all that power and torque to the road. The stability control doesn’t seem to interfere too much. A250 seems very reasonably priced for the performance on offer.
