Set of 3 Raku Ceramic Art Vases with good crazing — ceramic piece that has developed cracks during the raku firing process, a technique known for its dramatic thermal shock, which can cause breakage or enhance the piece's aesthetic by creating desirable crackle (crazing) or fracturing. The crazing is not a defect but enhances the art piece.
The Raku Art Vases were produced by ceramicist in 1999 and were priced R450 each for the 2 smaller units and R650 for the larger one. They feature similar stylised female external design. The asking price for all 3 vases is R1000 or R400 each for smaller two and R600 for the larger one.
