I offer Extra English Lessons for all Grade 9, 10, 11
and 12 High School Pupils in the Greater Durban
area who need assistance studying for English exams,
doing composition, comprehension or understanding
literary set works such as Shakespeare especially set
works like Macbeth, Hamlet, Othello and Antony and
Cleopatra, Merchant of Venice
Also assist with teaching Poetry and novels such as
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, Life of Pi by Yann Martel, Washington Square by Henry James,
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Of Mice
and Men by John Steinbeck etc in
preparation for examinations/ school curriculum etc.

All Lessons to be booked in advance telephonically by the parent or guardian.

Qualifications include Bachelor of Arts: English & Drama 1993, B. A. Honours Degree: English Literature 1994 and Coursework Masters Degree in Media Studies, 1996, University of Natal, Durban (now UKZN)
Copy of Degree Certificates and CV available upon request.
Will travel to private homes - Available to teach Extra Lessons in School Terms:
Monday to Friday afternoons 15h00-17h30 and
Saturdays 09h00-16h00. Also available Out of School Terms Weekdays: 09h00-17h00 &
Cost: R180 per hour for pupils living in Berea,
Morningside, Glenwood, Umbilo, Manor Gardens,
North Beach, South Beach
R230 per hour for pupils living in Durban North,
Westville, Sherwood, Bluff, Malvern, Hilary
R250 per hour for pupils living in La Lucia,
Umhlanga, Izinga Ridge, Mount Edgecombe, Kloof,
For security reasons, will only travel to parents
homes that have secure off-street parking.
Also teach visual literacy, media comprehension and film interpretation
Parents please book lessons early for pupils and do not wait until the fourth school term when your child is
studying for final exams.
