Financial Advisor Facilitator


Duties & Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Financial Advisor training sessions in classroom, virtual and blended learning environments.
  • Deliver training aligned to the requirements of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare and update learning material, presentations, learner guides and supporting resources.
  • Break down complex legislation, compliance requirements and financial services terminology into practical, easy-to-understand content.
  • Provide learner support, coaching and guidance throughout the training process.
  • Conduct formative assessments, mock examinations and knowledge checks to evaluate learner readiness.
  • Track learner attendance, participation and progress.
  • Provide feedback and intervention plans for learners who may be at risk of not meeting the required standard.
  • Maintain accurate learner administration and submit required reports within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, training coordinators and clients to ensure smooth programme delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Financial Services, Commerce, Insurance, Banking, Compliance or a related field.
  • Successfully completed the RE5 and RE1 examination.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience as a Financial Advisor
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience facilitating Financial Advising or related financial services training.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • FAIS Act
    • FICA
    • POPIA
    • Consumer Protection legislation
    • Financial advisory and intermediary services environment
    • Regulatory examination requirements
  • Previous experience in the insurance, financial services or banking sector.
  • Experience facilitating adult learning programmes.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation capability, with the ability to engage learners at different levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating both in-person and online training sessions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Teams and learning management systems.
