Maintenance Officer/Manager

A well-established Chemical Manufacturing company is seeking a proficient Maintenance Officer/Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and functionality of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

· Implement and enforce maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure efficient operation of equipment and facilities.

· Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks and providing guidance. Must be hands on and must be able to work on plant itself.

· Inspect equipment and facilities regularly to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.

· Oversee repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

· Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and repairs as needed.

· Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities.

· Monitor maintenance budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

· Train maintenance staff on safety procedures and proper maintenance techniques.

· Implement and maintain maintenance management systems to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.

· Evaluate the performance of maintenance staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

· Collaborate with other departments to support their maintenance needs and coordinate facility improvements.

· Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance management.

· Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance activities and performance metrics for senior management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Qualified Fitter and Turner with Red Seal Electrical experience.

· Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing of chemicals or personal care products. Working with filling machines.

· Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to maintenance operations.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Experience working with vendors and contractors.
