Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Millwright to join a dynamic food processing and production environment in the Netherlands. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with an electro-mechanical background, who is eager to grow their career internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing production machinery to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems
• Ensure minimal downtime through efficient fault-finding and problem-solving
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure machinery operates within safety and food-grade standards
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Minimum Requirements

• Fluent in Afrikaans (essential)
• Willing and able to relocate to the Netherlands (Relocation support is provided for)
• Qualified Trade Certificate (Millwright) and/or Technical Qualification (N6 / National Diploma / Degree)
• Red Seal certification will be highly advantageous
• Strong electro-mechanical background

Experience & Skills (Mandatory)

• Proven experience in a food processing and production environment (non-negotiable)
• Solid understanding of:
• Pneumatics
• Hydraulics
• Electrical systems
• PLC control systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards within food production

Advantageous

• Exposure to FMCG manufacturing environments
• Experience working with high-speed production lines and automated systems
