Key Responsibilities
As the Nursing Manager, you will:
Provide professional leadership and direction to all nursing staff across multiple diagnostic sites.
Develop and implement strategic nursing frameworks in alignment with national healthcare standards and organizational objectives.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence across regional teams.
Clinical Governance & Quality Assurance
Uphold and continuously improve clinical governance standards across all patient touchpoints.
Oversee compliance with laboratory safety protocols, infection prevention, and occupational health guidelines.
Ensure nursing documentation, specimen handling, and patient interactions meet ISO, SANAS, or equivalent accreditation standards.
Conduct regular audits, implement corrective actions, and maintain readiness for inspections and accreditations.
Patient Care & Service Excellence
Champion a patient-first culture, ensuring compassionate, ethical, and efficient care delivery.
Oversee triage, phlebotomy, and sample collection processes to guarantee high-quality patient experiences.
Manage patient feedback mechanisms and drive service recovery initiatives.
Operational & Human Resource Management
Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies for nursing staff.
Develop and roll out continuous professional development (CPD) and training programs.
Manage staffing schedules, performance appraisals, and disciplinary processes.
Collaborate with HR and Operations to maintain optimal staffing and service continuity across regions.
Clinical Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with pathologists, laboratory scientists, and clinical managers to ensure seamless service integration.
Liaise with regional managers, external healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
Represent nursing leadership in management meetings and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications & Experience
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid professional license.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management, Public Health, or Health Services Administration preferred.
Minimum 7–10 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a management or multi-site supervisory role.
Experience within a diagnostic, pathology, or hospital laboratory environment is highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of clinical governance frameworks, quality management systems (QMS), and accreditation standards (e.g., SANAS, ISO 15189).
