We’re Hiring | Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems (Project Lead)
Senegal (Local Candidates Preferred)
POWERCHINA Jiangxi Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd. (JEPCC) – Dubai Branch is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to support a large-scale power and energy infrastructure project in Senegal.
To ensure strong coordination with local stakeholders and project partners, priority will be given to candidates currently based in Senegal or with strong experience in the Senegal power sector.
Position Overview
The selected candidate will act as the technical lead on the ground, supporting engineering coordination, technical planning, and local team management during the project preparation and implementation phases.
This role will work closely with international engineering teams and local partners to support the successful development and execution of the project.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership for electrical and power system engineering
* Support engineering design coordination and technical solutions
* Manage and coordinate local engineering teams and contractors
* Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Support project planning, scheduling, and implementation
* Coordinate with local utilities, partners, and project stakeholders
* Participate in technical meetings and project coordination activities
Candidate Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering
* Solid experience in power infrastructure, substations, or grid-connected energy projects
* Familiarity with power systems engineering and grid integration
* Experience in EPC or large infrastructure projects preferred
* Based in Senegal or strong working experience in Senegal
* Fluent in French and English
* Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
