Monchique in picturesque, upper valley, Hout Bay is an ideal location for every special occasion. The thatched barn can seat 80 comfortably and many more being seated on the thatched veranda in fine weather. The barn has a large, banquet sized fireplace for cooler days. The venue has a wonderful ambiance and requires minimal decorating.


Simone, a 3rd year Silwood Graduate overseas the catering. Monchique is known for its delicious food and home baked breads. We are not licensed so clients can procure all their own refreshments. No corkage is charged.
