The Piazza della Signoria in Florence is a captivating cityscape painted by Bernardo Bellotto in the Rococo style around 1742. This artwork beautifully captures the essence of the main square in Florence, known as Piazza della Signoria. The square is a vibrant hub that showcases the immense political and artistic presence of this Renaissance city and the capital of Tuscany.

Bernardo Bellotto (c. 1721/2 or 30 January 1721 – 17 November 1780) was an Italian urban landscape painter, also known as a vedutista, and a printmaker in etching. His fame rests on his exquisite vedute (views) of European cities, including Dresden, Vienna, Turin, and Warsaw.
