They also produce what's called worm tea which is a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer. If maintained correctly the worms will double in amount after 3 months. For example 2,200 worms will have a total of 4,400 worms after 3 months and 35,200 worms after a year. The more worms the faster they produce, the more vermicompost and worm tea they will produce.
