It is possible for anyone to become a beekeeper with this revolutionary design. It is ideal for the inexperienced as well as the professionals. Once you have purchased your Honey on Tap Beehive, you will need to find the best location for it. Preferably elevated from the ground to prevent ants and rainfall to disturb the bees. After this you will need to add bees to your hive. There are 2 methods of adding bees. Method 1 is to simply buy your bees from a beekeeper. I do suggest this method simply because it is effective and quick. Method 2 is to add bee wax or honey to your hive. This will attract the bees and they will move into the hive by themselves. They tend to move fairly easily in spring and summer, not so much in the winter months. When the bees have moved in, they will need to make honeycomb in the brood box. Once they have completed the brood box’s honeycomb, they will start to produce and store honey in the super box. This super box contains “Honey on Tap Frames” which is made of A-grade food plastic. The beehive has viewing panels which you use to see how full the Honey on Tap frames are. When the Honey on Tap frames are almost at maximum capacity, it is time to harvest the honey. In the harvest process, the beekeeper simply removes the back panel of the hive. This panel is not in the bee’s way so you will not disturb the busy bees. Then with the “Honey on Tap frame key” you will open the taps of the frames and watch as your honey flows out of the beehive. There are numerous benefits to owning a Honey on Tap Beehive such as: 1- it is much more safer for the bees and the beekeeper than conventional beehives 2- the harvest process is much easier and quicker. 7-20min 3- much less stress on the bees 4- you do not need to smoke the bees 5- the beehive is extremely low maintenance 6- you can harvest 18-21kg of honey during the harvesting process 7- this increases the effectivity of the bees A standard Honey on Tap Beehive includes: •1 complete, wooden beehive box which is already treated for outside weather. • 7 Honey on Tap frames, made from A grade food plastic. •1 frame key • 7 frame tubes, this is used in the harvesting process. 2020 price list X1 Honey on Tap Beehive R5,999 X10 Honey on Tap Beehive (R5,300 per hive) Total cost: R53,000 X50 Honey on Tap Beehive (R4,700 per hive) Total cost: R235,000 X100 Honey on Tap Beehive (R3,980 per hive) Total cost: R398,000 Bee-suits: R960 Full Brood Frame Set: R340 Smokers: R340 If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.
