Specifications

The blade used technique which involves purposely forging together iron and steel of different properties to produce particular patterns that are visible throughout the surface of the finished blade. The edge of the blade has a tooth-like pattern, called tiger teeth or horse teeth and is characteristic of Chinese and Mongolian blade forging techniques. The back of the sabre blade is with bamboo joint pattern.

Our heat treatment on blade edge results in 58-60 HRC hardness, with blade rebound and effortless bamboo cutting. Hand-polished for a soft shine and razor-sharp edge.

Fittings

The fittings of Yan Ling Dao "Jing Ming V" (Elite Grade · angular style) are entirely hand-carved. (Blackened treatment available)

Pommel secured by peening.

Scabbard & Handle

Top quality Lapacho hardwood scabbard and handle, is incredibly durable. Scabbard wrapping with carefully selected real ray-skin. (color can be changed)

Handle wrapped with rope according to ancient methods. The craftsman specifically searched for high-quality handle ropes used in the repair of antique weapons, in order to achieve the desired feel and restore the effect of an ancient sword.

Fit and Finish

We have achieved perfection in the fitting and finishing of our swords, and our senior craft masters perform the final assembly with meticulous care. The precision fit of our swords requires the skilled craftsmanship of a full day's work.
