Senior Rigger

• Supervise all rigging, lifting, and crane-related activities in line with approved lift plans, procedures, and schedules.

Requirements:

Trade tested Rigger

N2/N3

5 years experience in construction or power station advantages

Be able to work under pressure and overtime if possible.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, mentor, and supervise riggers and rigging assistants on site.

• Allocate daily tasks and ensure teams are competent and adequately resourced.

• Enforce discipline, housekeeping, and productivity standards within the rigging team.

• Conduct toolbox talks, pre-task risk assessments, and lifting briefings.

• Stop unsafe work and ensure incidents, near misses, and equipment defects are reported and addressed.

Equipment & Asset Control

• Ensure all lifting equipment, tools, and tackle are certified, inspected, and fit for purpose.

• Maintain rigging equipment registers and ensure defective equipment is removed from service.

• Support proper storage, handling, and control of rigging gear.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure rigging works are executed in accordance with approved methods and engineering requirements.

• Verify load weights, centres of gravity, and lifting arrangements prior to execution.

• Support audits and inspections related to lifting and rigging activities.
